New Contemporary with ADU

On this project located in the Hollywood Riviera of Redondo Beach, we built a new Contemporary Modern home with a lower level ADU.

Imported Italian sculpted wood was built onto a two story stair accent wall.

A front zero post corner Nanawall system was installed with multi-bi folding doors

Integrated retractable screens were dropped into the floor and adjacent walls to minimize appearance. Lutron automated screens were installed on the ceilings in concealed pockets to allow automated shades while preserving the views.

The 14’ Island was installed with toekick led light ambient light, overhead pendant light and motorized skylights for venting. Wide plank oak flooring was installed throughout the the entire home.

A custom hood was fabricated with a hand applied plaster finish.

The custom cabinets were installed with minimal under cabinet LED’s along with inset plug molds to eliminate outlets from the backsplash area

The rear of the home also features a multi part Nanawall system with a countertop height bifold system joining into a full height bifold system allowing the full indoor/outdoor layout. An automated Vergola louver system was installed along with an outdoor bbq/kitchen.

First step in the project was setting the flags and going thru the entitlement process for the Hollywood Riviera.

Next step involved removing the existing home and excavating the dirt for the basement/ADU condition.

The property line block walls were built

Retaining walls were built along with the front grade beam and structural steel for the home.
