Modern Farmhouse Remodel

On this project, we took an existing single family home and removed the entire structure except for the subfloor. We started by retrofitting the existing foundation and subfloor for a solid base.

Existing home before construction started

On this project, we started by removing the existing roof, certain walls and the finished floor. The foundation was retrofitted with a few concrete pads at various locations to handle to increased loading from adding large ceiling beams to open up the layout. The existing subfloor was inspected and then retrofitted with addiitonal nailing, hardware and plywood for a solid base.

The existing pool was to be removed. We worked with the City and the homeowners and determined the best method for removal. The base shell was left in tack with holes at various locations punch thru the shell for future drainage. The pool was then filled with clean dirt and compacted every two feet for a solid firm pad.

The rear portion of the home had an tongue and groove ceiling the clients wanted to save. The area was shored for supported and new windows and doors were installed.
